Privacy at TikConvert

  1. 1

    What we collect

Almost nothing. We don't ask for your name, email, or location. The only piece of data tied to a request is the public TikTok URL you submit, which is needed to fetch the video.

  2. 2

    How that data is used

The URL is used once, in real time, to retrieve the video file from TikTok's servers and pass it back to your browser. We don't keep a copy, log it against your IP, or build a history.

  3. 3

    Cookies in plain language

We use a couple of small cookies to remember your language and theme preference between visits. They contain settings only - no identifiers, no tracking.

  4. 4

What we keep - and don't

We don't store any videos or copies of the files you download. After the file streams to your device, nothing about that request remains on our infrastructure.

  5. 5

    How we secure the service

TikConvert runs over HTTPS end-to-end with regularly updated dependencies and standard hardening. No system is bulletproof, but we follow current best practices to minimize risk.

  6. 6

    Links and third parties

TikConvert points to TikTok and other services on parts of the page. Once you leave to those destinations, their privacy policies - not ours - apply. Read theirs before sharing data with them.

  7. 7

    Updates to this policy

We may revise this document occasionally. When we do, the date at the top of the page changes and the previous version is replaced. Continued use of the site means you accept the new terms.

Advertising disclosure

  1. 1

    Why you might see ads

Some pages on TikConvert show ads delivered by Google AdSense. Google selects which ads appear based on signals about the page and, sometimes, anonymized signals about the visitor.

  2. 2

    Ad cookies

Google may set cookies tied to its ad network to measure performance and limit how often you see the same ad. Those cookies are managed by Google, not by us.

  3. 3

    What advertisers can see

Standard ad signals include things like your IP, browser type, device class, and what you click. None of this is personally identifiable on its own and we never receive a copy.

  4. 4

    Turning off personalized ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising directly in your Google Ad Settings. The Network Advertising Initiative also lets you opt out across many networks at once.
